Have you found injured or orphaned wildlife? This post will help you find a rehabilitator in your area that can take the animal and give it the professional, licensed care it needs!

It is illegal in all states to hold onto wildlife and attempt to "care" for it. This can lead to hefty fines from Fish & Game, even leading up to arrest! 9 out of 10 animals "raised" by the public die within 2 weeks or have their life cut extremely short by malnutrition and proper environmental needs.

Only rehabilitators on this list should be trusted with wildlife. They are licensed and recognized through the state, and often work with wildlife officers to ensure an animal's safety.

Before you begin to contact rehabbers: Please note that during the busy seasons of Spring and Fall, rehabbers are often swamped with intakes daily. Do not expect most to get back to you within minutes, but please know we are doing the best we can on what little people-power we often work on - Most rehabbers are a one-person show.

While rehabbers are licensed through the state, we are not employed through the state. This means that the state does not supply us with any funding or materials for our facilities and operations.

Rehabilitators solely depend on donations from the public!

Please consider making a donation to the facility that takes an animal from you! A single Opossum joey can cost upwards of $300 just in the few months they are in a rehabber's care!
